Currently, all suspects in the Mazut case are not in detention wards of prisons. On Friday afternoon, RKM’s Ratko Kapusevski, who’s among the suspects, left the Suto Orizari prison’s detention ward. However, he will be under house arrest.
The Court of Appeals has taken away his passport, too, as an additional measure. Kapusevski cited a need to undergo surgery. The Prosecutor’s Office believed he might flee, but the Criminal Court decided otherwise.
Previously, on 25 July, the Criminal Court had released Erdjan Sulkoski, too, from prison detention, accepting, as a measure, money and real estate as a guarantee that he wouldn’t flee.
Six days after he’d left the Suto Orizari prison’s detention ward, he removed his name from the registry as manager of his company, Pacific Petroleum, through which the Interior Ministry, too, buys fuel through a tender process.
The new manager is Asmedin Jahoski, who’s a relative of Pucko Petrol owner Asmir Jahoski, who’s a suspect too.
The Prosecutor’s Office has told Telma that it is tracking changes and, regarding the investigation, that it is waiting for mazut expertise from Serbia. It also says Jahoski’s request to fully get back the passport in order for him to be able to use it and travel has been rejected by the Court.
Jahoski is suspected of money laundering. The investigation covers also Vasko Kovacevski, former Director of ESM, who’s at large.
