Mickoski and Filipce Continue Activities in Frames of Election Campaign

On Tuesday, at a rally in Probistip, VMRO-DPMNE leader and PM Hristijan Mickoski stated that his party was choosing a positive campaign and focusing on concrete projects and the future of citizens. Also, he criticised what he again said was the informal coalition of SDSM, DUI, and Levica, as well as their “dark campaign”.

The same day, at a rally in Kratovo, Mickoski stated that SDSM and its coalition were underestimating the people with their dark campaign. He levelled direct criticism at the party’s leader, Venko Filipce, and former PM, former SDSM leader, and former Strumica Mayor Zoran Zaev.

“Filipce says he is with the people, but citizens know he was with his guru from Strumica, with whom they brought greatest poverty for citizens, whereas we were seeing them on yacht cruises in the Aegean Sea”, the VMRO-DPMNE leader emphasized.

SDSM, on its part, held a campaign event in Resen, where Filipce said that VMRO-DPMNE’s rule at a local and central level since 2021 and 2024 respectively had produced zero results.

“No new project, no investment, no real measure that improves life. Empty promises and cluelessness. A halt, deserted municipalities, forgotten citizens. Here, their non-work in Resen can be seen very clearly. Take a look at Resen after four years when it comes to what they were promising and what has been done. Promised projects have remained only on paper”, he stated.

Filipce especially levelled criticism of the central government’s policies on farmers. “During the SDSM-led cabinet, farmers would get real support and respect, whereas, in the last year and a half, they’ve been humiliated by VMRO-DPMNE”, the SDSM leader underlined, adding that his party had shown agriculture could be one of the engines of the economy.

Also, at an event in Bitola, he said SDSM was coming back.

“It’s coming back with a clear vision deep self-awareness, and greater responsibility. With work, honest promises, and persons that know what it means to be on the side of the people. Persons that are here to serve, not rule”, Filipce stressed.
