According to PM Hristijan Mickoski, Bulgaria’s Government and the country’s MEPs are pressing for Rapporteur Thomas Waitz’s draft report not to be adopted by explaining that that will increase Russia’s pressure on Sofia.
As he pointed out on Thursday, it’s very clear who’s obstructing EU integration.
“These days, I’m getting information again about fierce political pressures by Bulgarian MEPs and the Bulgarian Government that if that draft report is voted through, pay attention now, it may radicalise pro-Russian currents against the current, pro-European, Bulgarian government”, the PM underlined.
As he assessed, it’s sufficient satisfaction for his cabinet that the real reason and strategy coming from Sofia to create a present Macedonian nation, identity, and language has surfaced.
