On Wednesday, PM Hristijan Mickoski leveled fierce accusations at former Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, comparing his “acceptance of the French proposal” in 2022 to a direct stab to and driving of nails into the Macedonian identity’s “chest”.
“We will never forget that. With his acceptance of the French proposal, he directly drove nails into the Macedonian identity’s arms and legs. However, we will fight, we will fight everywhere”, he pointed out.
In response, however, Osmani described the comments as scandalous. According to him, Mickoski used allusions of the sacrifice of Christ (nails into the arms and legs) to incite religious intolerance, above ethnic intolerance.
“Albanians are not guests in this country, but rather hosts”, Osmani stressed.
