Confirmation is pending for three individuals as to whether they have West Nile fever, while six patients are in intensive care, Health Minister Klekovski said on Wednesday. 21 individuals are currently being treated at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, with the presence of West Nile fever already confirmed in 18 of them, he added.
“At the moment, there are 53 patients who have recovered from, currently have, or are suspected of having West Nile fever. 50 of them are confirmed cases, while three are suspected cases hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Clinic”, the Minister explained.
25 individuals that were admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic have recovered and been discharged for in-home treatment, while 21 remain hospitalized.
