On Thursday, Foreign Affairs and External Trade Minister Timco Mucunski met with several ambassadors.
At the meeting with EU Ambassador David Geer, the new government’s strong focus to speeding up the EU integration process and delivering reforms bringing tangible progress for citizens, primarily with regards to providing economic development, advancing the rule of law, and fighting high corruption, was reaffirmed.
The need for integration of Western Balkans was highlighted, considering the current geopolitical context.
At the meeting with Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri, bilateral relations and readiness to strengthen them, especially with regards to the economy and culture, were welcomed.
At the same time, Minister Mucunski and Ambassador Silvestri jointly participated in a ceremony to present certificates for successful Italian language course completion to North Macedonia diplomats. That approach, the Ministry said, is yet another confirmation of cultural relations and the two countries getting closer.
At the meeting with Austrian Ambassador Martin Pammer and economic adviser Juergen Schreder, matters related to the bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed, North Macedonia’s Foreign Ministry said in the press-release.
Also, the new government’s economic priorities to attract foreign investments were presented.
