Vaccination with the BCG vaccine will proceed unimpeded. The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with UNICEF, will ensure the continued availability of the vaccines, manufactured in Japan, Minister of Health Klekovski said on Wednesday.
As he explained, that refers to BCG vaccine batch number 6831 from December 22, 2022, and batch 807-1 from December 11, 2023. According to the Minister, both batches had been fully utilized by the summer of 2026.
“In our country, there are no documented adverse effects related to the administration of these batches. The Ministry, together with the competent institutions, is conducting additional analyses, and the public will be promptly informed of their results”, Klekovski stated.
