Ministry and President Distance Selves from Todorovski Vienna Decision

Both the Foreign Ministry and President Siljanovska Davkova are distancing themselves from sending convicted intelligence officer Kiro Todorovski to Vienna as a representative of the Intelligence Agency at the diplomatic-consular mission in Austria’s capital. The Ministry says he was chosen by the Director of the Agency, Gabriela Jakovleva.

The President, on her part, explained in her response that the Agency was a separate state administrative body, that the decision on the selection was signed by Director Jakovleva, while the Foreign Minister issued the decision on assignment.

Previously, Sloboden Pechat had raised also the issues of how Todorovski had passed the security vetting conducted by the National Security Agency and how he had been issued a security clearance certificate by the Classified Information Security Directorate.
