Ministry Starts Procedure for Flights to Evacuate Citizens from Middle East

The Foreign Ministry has started a procedure to provide charter flights to evacuate North Macedonia citizens currently in the Middle East. As it noted on Wednesday, considering the urgency, the procedure will be carried out in line with the Public Procurement Law by using shortened deadlines foreseen for such situations.

Around one million euros from the Ministry’s budget are foreseen. According to the Nova.rs portal, an Air Serbia evacuation plane carrying 67 passengers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia, landed on Tuesday night in Belgrade from Sharm el-Sheikh.
