On Friday, in an interview with The Bogdan Ilievski Evening Show on Alfa, cardiologist Zhan Mitrev said former PM Zaev and former Health Minister Filipche had been trying to find a way to get ownership of the health institution owned by him, Zhan Mitrev Clinic, at the peak of the court process against him concerning hemofiltration procedures.
As he added, there were such real contacts also in writing.
According to Mitrev, he explained to those interested in buying a stake in the Clinic that in addition to the freezing of his personal account and that of the health institution, there was also a ban on selling stakes.
However, Mitrev stated, the ban on selling stakes was lifted by the Prosecutor’s Office around a week later after the offer, which was “perhaps strange”.
The following day, Filipche, who’s now the SDSM leader, fiercely denied Mitrev’s comments, calling on him to file a criminal charge “if he can” to afterwards face accountability according to the Criminal Code.
