Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski revealed that a session of the Strategic Dialogue between North Macedonia and the U.S. will take place in Washington on April 7, and the national delegation will include himself as head, as well as Interior Minister Panche Tohskovski, Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski, Digital Transformation Minister Stefan Andonovski and Energy Minister Sanja Bozhinovska.
“With this, we will become the first country in Europe to have such a session with the current U.S. administration. We will open serious discussions about defense and security, as well as for energetics and trade, and for many other fields where we can bring benefits for our citizens”, Mucunski said.
PM Hristijan Mickoski said he expects “fruitful and very successful results” from the strategic dialogue. He stressed that the government pursues principled foreign policy, not “kneeling for mercy”, and reaffirmed U.S. partnership.
