On Monday, a new hearing was held in the trial in which Iva Mihajlova from Kochani is charged over a traffic accident that resulted in fatal consequences. Expert witnesses regarding the accident testified.
The Kochani courtroom was once again packed with politicians from Bulgaria and relatives of Mihajlova, who claims that due to her dual citizenship of North Macedonia and Bulgaria citizenship, she is being discriminated against by North Macedonia’s authorities, which are not allowing her to seek medical treatment outside of the country.
The accident occurred last October, in which one person lost their life and several individuals were injured, including Mihajlova herself. She has denied responsibility for the accident and claims it was not her fault.
