A new hearing was held on Wednesday in the trial over the 2025 Kochani nightclub fire. Expert witness Dushica Trpchevska Angelkovikj testified.
According to the urban planning documentation of Kochani since 1998 and pursuant to the Law on Construction, converting an industrial facility into a catering facility is not allowed at the specific location where the Pulse nightclub operated, whereas in 2012, the investor began using part of the facility as a discotheque/nightclub, which is contrary to the Detailed Urban Plan and legislation concerning urban planning and construction, she said in her testimony.
Prosecutor Jakimovski had said at the beginning Trpchevska Angelkovikj was a member of the team that had participated in preparing the construction expert report.
