A new hearing in the Kochani fire trial was held on Thursday. Prior to the start, parents of those killed in the tragedy had said that one of the defendants, Todor Jovanov, was influencing witnesses for the Prosecutor’s Office by phone, given to him by a person with the initials J.J., who was in detention as well.
In that regard, they pointed out that Todor was the brother of Pulse owner Dejan Jovanov, who was among those charged too. Parents called on relevant services to check the information and communication through the phone.
At the hearing, four witnesses proposed by the Office testified. Some defense attorneys again said the charge against their clients had to be dropped because they hadn’t been directly linked to the fire, nor had they been at the nightclub on March 16.
