Monday’s hearing in the Kochani fire trial saw parents of those killed in the nightclub tragedy fiercely react to the testimony of Dejan Manasiev, who started working as a bartender at Pulse in 2012. As they pointed out, it is contradiction with and different than what he told prosecutors. A representative of theirs said they would therefore file a criminal charge against him.
The person asked whether Manasiev was lying about matters related to the roof to protect the owner, Dejan Jovanov (who’s among the defendants).
In his testimony, Manasiev had also said that the fire had been spreading very quickly, but people had been taking videos of that at the door. He added that they had created a halt there because, as he noted, it seems they didn’t understand the gravity.
