New Hearing in Trial of Appellate Court Judge Ristov

The father of accused Skopje Appellate Court Judge Gjoko Ristov, in whose home 350,000 euros were found, said that the money probably belonged to his son. That information was presented at Tuesday’s hearing, where the Prosecutor’s Office presented videos of the search of the Ristov’s family house in Radovish, which show the tiles in the kitchen being broken and the money being found.

Prosecutor Iskra Hadji Vasileva said that when they’d asked the father what was in the foil wrappers and whose it was, he replied: “I don’t know, it probably belongs to my son”. To an additional question as to which son, he said: “To Judge Ristov”. The money was found packed in aluminum foils in denominations of 200 and 500 euros.
