SDSM leader Filipche believes that PM Mickoski’s comments on consultation with legal experts, too, regarding the so-called one citizenship per MP bill mean that he has backtracked on the initial stance. However, VMRO-DPMNE has rejected Filipche accusations and described him as a politician who is in panic.
According to President Siljanovska Davkova, there are no legal obstacles when it comes to banning dual citizenship for all public officials.
Regarding the Law on Government, she’s confirmed that she will sign the decree, stressing she considers the technical government concept to be unconstitutional. However, she appeals for it to be abolished through dialogue, i.e., as it was introduced.
The draft changes will be sent to a plenary session next week at the earliest, Telma reported on Friday.
