New Reactions to Sabedin Sinani Case

Commenting on the criminal charge against Sabedin Sinani, head of Afrim Gashi’s security detail in relation to the 1 August incident at the Skopje airport, Interior Minister Pance Toskovski told Sitel on Wednesday that the Parliament Speaker was not criminally laible over his decision to request Sinani to head to the VIP area of the airport where Kosovan President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu was and calm the situation down.

Also on Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE, quoting findings part of minutes, said that in 2023, the SDSM-DUI-led government had enabled the Kosovan President to violate procedures and protocols on two occasions.

On the other hand, SDSM MP Mile Taleski said that his party would support Levica’s no-confidence motion against Gashi.

According to the new Rules of Procedure of Parliament, the motion is expected to be on the agenda after the recess period of the legislative house, that is, at the start of September. However, it will most likely not be supported by the ruling majority.
