Wages of over 1,000 officials are supposed to increase as a result of the regular legal alignment in March, unless that’s stopped through legal changes, as was the case in 2024 and 2025.
Economy Minister Durmishi said that a decision hadn’t been made because data on annual average wage in 2025 would need to be published first. That’s done by the State Statistics Office in February. Finance Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska hasn’t given a concrete answer either.
According to the Trade Union Federation, the salaries would increase by around 220-250. In that regard, its President, Trendafilov, said that not only it would submit an initiative for legal changes over the matter, it would enter the second stage of its activities, i.e. blockades.
