Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski attended and addressed Thursday in Brussels the panel “Enlargement Issues: New geopolitical, security and economic borders of Europe”, organized by “Friends of Europe”.
In his address, Nikoloski underlined that North Macedonia deserves to be integrated in the EU, adding that while the country become a NATO member, EU is yet to deliver results.
“Macedonia has given so many great sacrifices for the accession process, and now key players in the EU need to send a message whether Macedonia and the region will join the EU. It is obvious there is a lack of political will when it comes to integration in the EU, and I think it is fair for people from our region to be told clearly what passes and what cannot pass. If something is doable and achievable, then let us all do it, not wait till the next summit or meeting. Let us not waste any more time”, Nikoloski said.
He accented the importance of economic cooperation and international projects endorsed by the government for bringing the country closer to EU integration.
