On Wednesday, SDSM said its draft-law aiming to support the families of those killed and injured in the Kocani fire hadn’t received the support from the ruling majority in Parliament in terms of the text being put on the agenda.
Previously, the ruling party had described the draft-law as a populist text that aimed only at scoring a few political points.
When it comes to ex-Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi and Razmena Cekic Durovic, former State Secretary at the Ministry, who are among the suspects in the Kocani fire case, the Prosecutor’s Office has proposed that their respective detention measures be replaced with house arrest ones.
