Nobody is Above the Law, Mickoski Says at VMRO-DPMNE Anniversary

The fight against corruption was among the topics VMRO-DPMNE leader and PM Mickoski addressed at the marking the 36th anniversary of the party’s founding, held in Strumica on June 17. He said combating corruption remained a top priority for the Government, adamantly stressing that nobody was above the law.

“Over the past two years, Supreme Court judges, prosecutors, Presidents of the Council of Prosecutors, former DPMs, ministers, and directors have been brought to justice, all of which passed without members of special units entering their homes at 3 a.m. in front of their closest ones, their spouses, and their children. We do this so that nobody is humiliated. However, I want to send a clear message from Strumica: we will prosecute them wherever they are, there will be no pact or alliance with crime and criminals”, he stressed.
