In London on Thursday, the UK’s Minister of Exports, Gareth Thomas, and Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski, signed the Government-to-Government Partnership (G2G).
As a result, six billion euros for infrastructure and capital projects are being made available to North Macedonia, funds that will be used only for project funding. Nikoloski said again the agreement was historic, adding that it would result in development of his country. Also, he stated that three projects had already been prepared.
As the Deputy PM and Transport Minister also stressed, what’s even more important is that the expertise from the UK’s public administration and business sector will be used. Minister Thomas, on his part, stated that the partnership opened up a new chapter in the bilateral relationship.
“The UK has a wealth of experience in delivering high-quality infrastructure across the world and I am delighted to be kicking off this new partnership that will help more British businesses export to North Macedonia”, he added.
