The new textbooks for the subjects of History and Society for grades 5 and 6 were the topic at the North Macedonia-Bulgaria History Commission, held on Friday in Skopje. North Macedonia’s historians submitted the new textbooks.
Considering the new reality, at the meeting, there was a discussion on the future approach and methodology regarding discussions on textbooks, they pointed out. The discussion on the topic will continue at the next meeting, North Macedonia’s historians added.
A representative of Bulgaria’s team, however, has told a Bulgarian medium that despite the declarative position of North Macedonia’s historians on the efficient work of the Commission, differences in terms of understanding its nature remain.
