The Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation on suspicions of assistance against Z.D., Desna (Right) member and National Bank employee, who, according to the testimony of defendant Velibor Manev in the trial over the 2023 double kidnapping and murder of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezovski, took the backpack and Motorola devices, which are key pieces of evidence.
“According to the testimony of one of the defendants, the now suspect assisted by covering up the weapons with which the crimes for which a life sentence is prescribed had been committed.
Following conveyed instructions from the principal in the first degree [Ljupco Palevski], the suspect, from the premises of the Desna party, took a blue backpack containing a firearm, a gun, with which both crimes had been committed and removed it from the party”, the Office said on Saturday.
The proposal for measures of precaution (temporary taking away of a passport, a ban on issuing of a passport, and reporting from time to time to a court) has been accepted by the Criminal Court.
