Oncology Clinic Case: Latest Developments

20 patients that would receive treatment at the Oncology Clinic have called the Prosecutor’s Office to help the investigation by sharing information.

A team of prosecutors has interrogated multiple Clinic employees and two experts. According to the Office, a lot of materials and documentation and solid evidence have been secured and are being analysed. The medical histories of around 40 patients are being checked as well.

Data will be requested from relevant organs in Kosovo and Albania for patients who received treatment in North Macedonia, as will potential information about illegal re-sale of medicines for treatment of oncology patients in those countries.

Prosecutors will include in the investigation also auditors who prepared the audit report. The Interior Ministry is in charge of the financial investigation.
