Oncology Clinic Trial Continues

At Tuesday’s hearing in the Oncology Clinic trial, Slovenian expert Maja Ravnik again testified.

She presented conclusions according to which there were frequent changes to therapy without a medical explanation, providing of medications that mutually exclude one another’s effect, and administration of terminal-stage chemotherapy that, instead of helping, shortened the life of patients.

The expertise is drawn up on the basis of an analysis of 51 medical documentation sets on treatment of patients at the health institution. However, oncologist Simonida Crvenkova’s attorney, Vladimir Tufegdjikj, pointed out that the findings were based on European standards not part of North Macedonia’s health and legal system.

Three people are on trial: former Clinic Director Nino Vasev, oncologist Dragan Jakimovski and Crvenkova.
