One Citizen Has Applied for Evacuation Assistance to Leave Israel

One North Macedonia citizen has applied for evacuation assistance to leave Israel, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

“He has been given a travel certificate to leave the country. Also, the SOS Centre, here in Skopje, received a phone call from a company that notified us it had four employees in Israel, just so that we have them in consideration if the situation deteriorates and have contact with them in the event of a need for extraction,” Minister Bujar Osmani said.

The Ministry has called on all those who are travelling to or are already in Israel to get registered in order for there to be necessary information if the situation, which has now been stabilised, once again deteriorates.

“I had talked to the Ambassador in Tel Aviv in order for him to at least have his children returned to the country. However, we talked by phone this morning and schools in Israel are again open. The situation has been stabilised,” Osmani noted.

The Ambassador and his family have decided to stay.
