SDSM criticized the government over the cost and organization of events marking North Macedonia’s 35th Independence Day, accusing officials of arrogance toward journalists and the public.
SDSM said citizens have the right to know how much the celebrations cost, claiming David Guetta’s performance alone cost at least EUR 1 million and that total expenses could reach EUR 5 million.
Levica too accused the government of lacking transparency over spending on the celebrations. They also condemned Avalon representative Boban Milosheski’s response to a journalist asking about David Guetta’s contract, calling it evidence of a broader disregard for public oversight.
