Opposition MPs Call for Apology from Stoilkovikj for Insults and Swearing

Ivan Stoilkovikj, who was on Monday dismissed as Intercommunity Relations Minister and then elected Local Self-Government Minister, swore at and insulted MPs during that day’s session on the cabinet reshuffle process. Consequently, opposition MPs demanded that the session be interrupted, describing his behavior as unacceptable.

As the MPs stated, Stoilkovikj insulted the parliamentarians who criticized his nomination as Minister of Local Self-Government from the rostrum while still in the hall, while his inappropriate behavior then continued in the Club of MPs during the break.

The Coordinator of VMRO-DPMNE’s Parliamentary Group, Nikola Micevski, speaking on behalf of the majority, demanded respect for the Code of Ethics of MPs and called for exemplary and responsible behavior from everyone. DUI and Spasovski reacted to that, demanding that the apology come personally from Stoilkovikj or on his behalf.
