On Monday, the opposition officially requested for Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi to put the need for constitutional changes up for a vote. As VMRO-DPMNE’s Parliamentary Group said, the procedure shouldn’t be stalled.
However, Xhaferi again didn’t respond. His stand that he will convene the session once a two-thirds majority is secured remains. For that, he has the support from PM Dimitar Kovacevski, who hasn’t been interested in revealing exactly how many MPs are missing for a majority.
However, he’s been optimistic that everyone will ultimately vote in favour.
