Parliament Elects Chuchulj as New SCPC President

The Parliament of North Macedonia officially elected at Wednesday’s plenary session Ademi Chuchulj as the new President of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC). Chuchulj has worked at SCPC on different positions for 19 years now, and his latest position was SCPC’s Secretary General.

He had the highest score of 96.5 points out of 100 in the parliamentary process for election of a new SCPC President. His election follows the procedure that was initiated after previous president, Tatjana Dimitrovska, resigned after being arrested in relation to the Additive case.

The procedure was then interrupted due to the local election that took place in October. At the same plenary session, the Parliament elected new members of the National Council on High Education, and accepted the resignation of Constitutional Judge Jadranka Dabovikj-Anastasovska.
