President of the Party of Pensioners, Mile Andonovski, and part of the members held a press conference Monday at which they announce they will join the alliance headed by SDSM for the upcoming local election.
As a reason for this decision Andonovski cites alleged dissatisfaction from many members of the party with the ongoing rule of VMRO-DPMNE.
“We are ideologically much closer to SDSM, but out priorities still remain proper, stable and long-term realisation of the interest of pensioners in this country”, Andonovski said.
VMRO-DPMNE reacted to these events, saying that the Party of Pensioners was never in an alliance with VMRO-DPMNE in the first place.
