The Interior Ministry, in order to establish order with regards to the process for people to have their photos taken and for issuing personal documents, will introduce a so-called Get a Number system.
The system was tested on the premises of the Administrative Affairs Department of Kumanovo on Saturday, caretaker Interior Minister Pance Toskovski said. Soon, it will be fully put into use, he added.
When it comes to the passports issue, the previous day, Toskovski had met in Athens with Marc-Julian Siewert, CEO of Veridos, the company in charge of producing passport forms.
“At the meeting, there was a discussion on the possibility of speeding up the dynamism of production and shipment of forms. It was concluded that continuity and timely shipment of passport forms for the period ahead would be provided,” the Interior Ministry said.
