Meetings between the Government’s Social-Economic Team and representatives of trade unions will continue, while demands will be made according to what the Budget permits, PM Dimitar Kovacevski assessed on Thursday, answering journalists’ questions about protests being organised by multiple trade unions.
“There has been dialogue so far too. Such meetings resulted in a new general collective agreement that increased public sector salaries by 10%, while an annual leave allowance payment, too, is provided for,” the PM stated.
Regarding the issue of the working group for reduction of salaries of officials, the PM stated that those funds wouldn’t cover the existing demands. The group still hasn’t presented a proposal, while the reduction would require changes to seven laws, he said.
