Regarding the fight against corruption, PM Hristijan Mickoski on Tuesday voiced satisfaction with the hitherto activities.
“The final results, however, will depend on the judicial power”, the PM noted.
When it comes to the escape of ex-Deputy PM Artan Grubi and ex-ESM head Vasko Kovacevski, suspects in the Lottery case and Additive process, respectively, the PM’s stand is that there was no oversight on the part of institutions and that justice will catch up with the two former officials.
“Justice is slow, but it always arrives,” he stressed.
The following day, in an interview, he said regarding the Judicial Council that though the body perhaps had legality, it didn’t have legitimacy among citizens.
According to the PM, the staff potential aiming to refresh the Council should truly have an imposing goal and agenda in front of them, as well as institutional memory because nothing will be achieved “if we replace ones with others, while the habits and manner of behaviour remain the same”.
