Regarding the Prosecutor’s Office’s comments the previous day that it hadn’t received a report about the bribe attempt over Corridor VIII, PM Mickoski said on Wednesday that he would fight corruption and crime by making public comments.
“That’s my decision. That’s why I made the statement about the bribery attempt,” he added.
According to Mickoski, since the tender process started during the previous government’s term, it can be felt that some centres of influence are upset.
In the frames of his Cabinet, the PM announced, a special team, through an open line, will talk to citizens who will be able to report deviant actions by administration members and politicians asking for a return favour in exchange for doing something that people are entitled to according to the law and Constitution.
He also sent a message to all elected and appointed officials from his party, VMRO-DPMNE, stressing that they shouldn’t forget they were in politics to serve citizens instead of to enjoy themselves.
