PM Mickoski Comments on Several Topics during Gazi Baba Visit

During a visit to Gazi Baba on Tuesday, PM Mickoski stated regarding transporters’ blockades at border crossings over the EES matter that he expected it to be solved. The matter has been on the agenda in the frames of the country’s talks with the EC since September, he noted. The PM has requested a phone conversation with President von der Lеyen over the matter.

Asked when he would meet Ahmeti, the PM stated that there will be a meeting with the DUI leader at some point. According to Sloboden Pechat, a meeting with Ahmeti hasn’t been a priority for the PM since VMRO-DPMNE secured a two-thirds and Badinter majority, without DUI’s support, for the Law on Misdemeanors and election of Ombudsperson, respectively.

Regarding his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mickoski refuted the opposition’s accusations that he was an “extra” at the event. Regarding the procedure to elect a new Prosecutor General, he stated that the Government would voice after once the Council of Prosecutors did.
