According to PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Mickoski, though the government has a four-year term from citizens, if the opposition asks for early parliamentary elections, he will be ready to convene a leadership meeting, agree on a date, and defeat SDSM in elections once again.
In Wednesday’s interview with Sitel, he said that since the Przhino format still existed, the end of this term should be somewhere around the end of 2027.
“If the opposition asks for early parliamentary elections, then as the government, we are always in agreement to sit down for a leadership meeting, agree on a date, and go to early parliamentary elections”, he stressed.
Regarding the European integration path, he said whether the appetite for enlargement remained present in the EU’s largest economies or whether they shifted their focus toward domestic challenges would depend on the state elections in Germany in the fall and the presidential elections in France next spring.
When it comes to efforts to unblock integration, the PM said the government was holding talks to find a solution to advance the process, emphasizing that that was no secret.
