On Wednesday, PM and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said regarding the ethnic Albanian Academy of Sciences and Arts (in the form of a scientific society) that his party’s stand was that the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts was the only such institution in the country.
However, he doesn’t expect VLEN’s decision to fund the Academy through municipalities run by it to have a negative impact on the ruling coalition.
Council members from his party, Mickoski explained, will not vote in favour of municipal budgets from which money will be used for the Academy.
