PM Mickoski on Upcoming Trade Union Federation Protest and Fuel Situation

On Tuesday, PM Mickoski urged the public to be careful regarding messages from trade union organizations, accusing them of being politicized. He emphasized that the Government complied with the Law on Minimum Wage, as well as that if a consensus was reached regarding a bipartite agreement between workers and employers, the cabinet would support it.

Regarding the protest the Trade Union Federation has said will be organized on Saturday, the PM reiterated that the minimum wage would exceed 26,000 denars.

When it comes to the rise in fuel prices, he said he saw no need to declare a state of crisis. As he explained, there is big pressure on gas stations in border areas, while the country has the cheapest fuel in the neighborhood. The PM said a meeting would be held on Wednesday with representatives of stores and distributors to ensure the burden didn’t fall on citizens.

When it comes to the evacuation of people from the Middle East, 150 passengers from Dubai landed in Skopje at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
