The ruling coalition’s stable, while everyone that shares and supports the government’s views and policies is free to join it, PM Hristijan Mickoski stated on Wednesday, after he’d been asked whether it was possible for Monika Zajkova’s LDP to become part of the ruling coalition.
Mickoski also said he had discussed, neither within the cabinet nor within his party, VMRO-DPMNE, the issue of whether LDP would officially be part of the coalition.
Asked whether it was possible for an above-party stand on constitutional changes that would enter into force once the country joined the EU to be built, the PM stated that he had, during his speech on the occasion of Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle Day (23 October), too, called for an above-party position on many open issues that the new government considered to be serious challenges.
Though he desires for his proposal for the changes to enter into force once there was EU integration to be supported by all parties, Mickoski nonetheless added that it wouldn’t mean that the country would unilaterally enter the process.
