Regarding the police operation to seize marijuana, the Skopje1 portal reported at around 11:40 p.m. on Thursday that seven vans, a mini-truck, six trucks, and six passenger vehicles had exited the ground area of the former OHIS factory in Skopje, where the seat of Alphapharm, the company registered for production of medical cannabis, was located.
That’s the first location, from which, according to the portal’s information, around nine tons of marijuana have been seized.
Sources have told Skopje1 that medical teams and Customs Administration vehicles were involved in the operation, in addition to police and investigators. The increased presence and logistics indicate the scope and gravity of the operation. The second location, the portal added, is in the Strumica region, where another around 18 tons of marijuana are being seized.
The Interior Ministry and Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime haven’t presented official details, saying searches and checks are still underway.
