At 7:39 pm on Tuesday, Kanal 5 reported that the Financial Police Administration was making arrests in Prilep. Citing unofficial information, the TV station also said it had learned it was about major financial machinations and crime worth around 800,000 euros in relation to the Prilep General Hospital.
“Multiple persons are being arrested, including Keti Smileska, ex-MP and former Director from SDSM’s ranks, Aleksandar Spirkoski (aka Dzemo), and Vladimir Petreski, Keti’s right-hand man, who would sign public procurement deals”, Kanal 5 added.
Around one hour later, the TV station quoted the Prosecutor’s Office as saying that the Administration was acting upon its orders and instructions.
“Activities are being taken in relation to a procedure about allegations against multiple persons concerning misuse in the work of the Prilep Hospital. Activities are being taken at this moment, while more details will be presented tomorrow [Wednesday, 22 October]”, it said.
