Polish Ambassador Brymora Says Nobody Can Provide Guarantees in Writing on EU Path

In Saturday’s interview with Sitel, Polish Ambassador Mariusz Brymora says it’s best for the North Macedonia-Bulgaria dispute to be resolved by both countries and for them to reach a mutually acceptable compromise. He also was asked about the idea for a delayed implementation of the constitutional changes.

“With the delayed implementation, nobody can give you a guarantee that if you introduce the changes to the Constitution, I know that there is pretty big concern in the Macedonian society that if you introduce the changes to the Constitution then the Bulgarians may come up with more requirements towards you and hinder the process again. Nobody is going to give you guarantees, in writing, that they will not do it.

The only guarantee is that Sofia has declared a number of times that they will not do it, that they will not introduce any new requirements”, the Ambassador pointed out, inter alia.
