Interior Minister Pance Toskovski is adamant that the Prosecutor’s Office will bring justice over the Kocani fire to the surface. On Tuesday, he alleged there were political attempts to manipulate the parents of those killed in the fire.
On the other hand, SDSM asked why there was no current official among those charged and whether the government was protecting Kristina Jovanova, the chief inspector of economic crime in the frames of the Kocani Internal Affairs Department.
In addition, the opposition party stated that Jovanova had to have known that there was economic crime within the Pulse nightclub, but hadn’t penalised the company owned by Pulse’s owner.
In response, VMRO-DPMNE stated that SDSM should first check its own traces before it started to point fingers, adding that institutions were thoroughly acting upon the tragedy.
