Possibility of Mitsotakis Holding Bilateral Meetings in Washington not Ruled out

Asked about a potential Kyriakos Mitsotakis-Hristijan Mickoski meeting in Washington, Greek Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said on Monday that though such a meeting was not being planned, the possibility of Greece’s PM holding bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the NATO Summit was not being ruled out.

Regarding North Macedonia, he stated that Mitsotakis would raise the issue of respecting the Prespa Agreement at the highest level at the Summit.

“He will refer to statements in contradiction with it, that is, in contradiction with what’s voted through by the two countries because, as you realise, North Macedonia’s NATO presence is a result of this Agreement,” he added.
