Preparations are underway for career diplomat Krum Efremov to be sent to Sofia as North Macedonia’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, according to Foreign Minister Mucunski.
“Regarding the Ambassador to Sofia, the procedure is already at a stage where it is no longer classified information, and I can publicly share that our Ambassador to Bulgaria will be Ambassador Krum Efremov”, he said on Tuesday.
Efremov, in the Minister’s view, is among the high-quality diplomats. Answering a journalist’s question about Bulgaria and North Macedonia’s EU path, Mucunski pointed out that there was constant dialogue.
Asked whether there were signals from Sofia regarding possible concessions and whether North Macedonia was ready for compromises, Mucunski emphasized that the red lines remained unchanged.
“Our country’s red lines are linked to our identity, language, culture, and history”, the Minister said.
