On the sidelines of the 78 th UN General Assembly, President Stevo Pendarovski held a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. They discussed the Skopje-Berlin bilateral cooperation, North Macedonia’s European perspective, and current developments in the region.
President Pendarovski informed the German Chancellors about Skopje’s EU accession talks, expressing gratitude for the principled support and commitment by Germany so far as one of North Macedonia’s closest allies.
In New York, the President also attended the opening of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Convened under the Auspices of the General Assembly and delivered an address at delivered an address at the Leaders’ Dialogue “Scaling up actions on key transitions to accelerate SDG progress”.
