In Ljubljana on Monday, President Siljanovska Davkova held a meeting with Slovenian counterpart Pirc Musar. Among the topics discussed was North Macedonia’s European integration path.
The EU has been and remains not only a geographical, historical, and common cultural home for the country, but also an important priority, Siljanovska Davkova pointed out.
“I want to indicate the danger of the bilateralization of the enlargement process, especially when it is tied to non-negotiable identity issues”, she added.
The Slovenian President said her country supported North Macedonia’s European path. Slovenia clearly supports decision-making in the EU by qualified majority when it comes to opening negotiation chapters, according to her.
